Why are show breeders producing German...

...Shepherd Dogs with deformed hind legs? I saw a German Shepard at the Eukanuba Cup show, the best of breed dog, whose hind legs were fixed in a permanently flexed position. His back was extremely sloped, giving him a hyena-ish look and his trot was acramb;omg amd awkward. As this was the Best of Breed dog, I assume that this is what all the AKC breeders are trying to produce. What's happening?

It's supposedly the "perfect position" and people do crazy things to win things, you know... I'm not sure why in their head it seems to be a great idea, but it's for show. Only your dog can do the position and not all dogs do it.. so they're just trying to do it for them...Weird, eh?
